Born and raised in Northern Michigan, I was first exposed to tattooing with my father. He had a road runner tattoo on his arm. I always thought it was neat that it would never come off. After high school graduation, I joined the Navy as a Seabee and was transferred to Gulfport. Never did I think that I would still be here 18 yrs later. During the 5 yrs of my enlistment, I had received 8 tattoos starting with my first one on my arm that Diane had done. She was patient and had worked with me to get what I wanted. While in battalion I became friends with Dan Tomalis who also works for Jack n Diane, when he got out of the Navy and started working at the studio he convinced me to give it a try as my enlistment was coming to an end. Knowing I had nothing to lose I gave it a try and now 13 years later, I am still here and planning on at least another 20. In November 2006 I met my wife, Sara, when she came in for a tattoo. I am now step-dad to Josh and father to little girl Ryanne.
